2020 has been an intense year filled with hurdles and roadblocks that inspired us all to adapt in ways we never could have anticipated. It has been challenging to say the least - Perhaps more so for some than others. To those who have experienced challenges, or continue to experience challenges of any kind, our hearts go out to you.
That said, here at Knoebels, we have had the opportunity to see many silver linings; to count many blessings and see the bright side of countless not-so-great situations. The brightest of these bright spots? YOU: Our dedicated team and loving guests!
Throughout this trying year, Team Knoebels has been incredibly understanding as we postponed our opening day (several times) to follow state mandate, and faced a start to the season like no other. True Knoebels fanatics may know there has been only one other season in our 90+ year history when our operational status had been so greatly affected: The park remained closed for an entire season during World War II. When it was time for the park to open this season with even more stringent health and safety guidelines than ever, our team stood tall and took it in stride. They kept smiles on their faces, picking up extra hours and working later into our fall season to ensure our guests could make memories with their families in a safe, clean and fun environment. We are grateful to know they will put just as much enthusiasm into our first ever Joy Through the Grove Christmas light display. All in all, when it was time to get Knoebels up and running our team made us proud, and once again proved the greatness and resilience of our local people.
To our guests: You showed up! In a year that has shuttered many businesses, Knoebels is able to look ahead to the future with hope. We are making plans for more fun, food, and fantasy to come because you chose to spend your ever valuable time with us. You came out to ride Phoenix, snack on funnel cakes and dance at our Bandshell and we cannot thank you enough. Every one of you that thanked us for being open gave us the power to continue. You, who abided by our health and safety guidelines and worked to keep yourselves, our team, and other guests safe gave us the strength to keep going through the drearier days.
It is no secret this year has been unlike any other, but it has been one from which we have learned and we have adapted. Most importantly, we’ve been given another fantastic reminder of just how much support and loyalty there is for this little family park. Please know the admiration we have for you is mutual. In the coming months, we will continue to think of you, and send wishes for health and happiness your way. We look forward to making memories with you for years to come.
